billionaires and little people

Is it possible for a person to have a billion dollars and still be little people? Not sure.

Life on this planet is a massive deception. An atheist once told me how strange it is that we work so hard to provide for our old age and then die. This is a guy who would diligently put away retirement savings.

Here are a couple of thoughts on wealth.

  • One thought is the more you have the better off you are. You can never have enough so just keep getting more. This will make things better and better for you. You don't know what happens when you die anyway so why worry about that? Worry about stuff that you can do something about, like getting more wealth.
  • Another thought is you need some money to function. Once you have enough to get by on having more and more doesn't really change your overall life. If your only purpose in life is getting more, then you haven't had much purpose. So have enough money in order to do the basics, and then do the things that are important to you in life, which probably don't take much money.

good news for non-christians

It turns out that if you don't accept Jesus in this lifetime there is some chance that you will have a thousand year period to get it right, this is called the millennium. Now the Bible doesn't specifically say that everyone that flunks the test now gets to go into the millennium, but there is some chance. Then there is one last big problem that occurs at the end of the millennium where people surround Jerusalem and fire falls from heaven and destroys them all. It's reasonable to assume that those people don't have their names in The book of Life. At the end of the millennium God will go through the book of Life and put all those people into a new heaven and a new Earth. Anyone whose name is not in the book of Life at that time goes into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is a horrible place that you never come out of. So let's not go there okay? If you become a Christian now then our belief is that you'll be resurrected in the first resurrection, you won't have to go through the millennium, and you won't have to risk getting burned up at the end of the millennium by fire from heaven. And most importantly your name will be in the book of Life for all of eternity. Having your name in The book of Life is the only thing that matters. Nothing else matters but having your name in The book of Life. Yes rewards are nice, but if your name is not in the book of Life rewards aren't going to be very helpful in the lake of fire.

when is Jesus coming back?

Of course nobody knows. Supposedly about 1/7 of the planet is Christian. That means that 6 billion people don't think Jesus resurrected from being dead. They don't think Jesus came back to life and floated off into the sky and returned to the command center in heaven. Even as a Christian the thought may cross your mind, why would Jesus do that? Well of course it's all a big mystery, the next big event we Christians are all waiting for is the Antichrist. This is a guy who will act like Jesus and will essentially Force everyone into a world system where you receive a mark on your right hand or your forehead. For the people that refuse he finally kills them. Then Jesus will return and trample Satan and all his followers into goo. This is what the Bible teaches. So Jesus can't come back tomorrow. It takes a minimum of 42 months for this Antichrist guy to take over. So if the Antichrist guy shows up tomorrow we're still 42 months out. Even then the clock isn't perfectly clear. Some people say it could last 7 years some people say it might be as short as 5 months. Let's just go with the 42 months that it talks about in Revelation which is roughly three and a half years. When you throw all that together it's obviously we don't really know when Jesus is coming back. And even then his return is going to be fairly ugly for everybody that's alive. Better to die now and avoid the hour of temptation. Of course if you do things right you really don't get any choice in any of this, it's all up to God. Your job is to be faithful, God's job is to figure it all out.

why haven't we run out of oil yet?

So after doing some exhaustive research on the internet it appears that we have found a gazillion barrels of oil reserve. So assuming all this stuff turns out to be reasonably accurate we're going to have oil for a long time. People have pointed out for a long time that oil isn't going to run out overnight, it's going to run out slowly because as it becomes harder and harder to get the price will go up up up. We will continue to use less of it at that point, because you simply can't afford a million dollars for a gallon of gas. In America we could easily move closer to where we work and ride bicycles or mass transit. Of course mass transit is going to have to make some changes as our society is becoming less stable and there is more violent unpredictable behavior in public. Mass transit May somehow have to isolate people individually into their own little compartments where they're unable to impact anyone around them. In their own bulletproof little booths. Sort of like those little bubbles in The Jetsons only they would be bulletproof and you'd have your own atmospheric control. When the mass transit got to your stop your bubble would simply eject and you'd cruise to your work location. This is starting to sound like a great option.

why haven't we run out of oil?

We are using more oil now than we ever have. Remember way back in the 70s, scientists were telling us that we were going to be running out of oil by now. That we would have to transition to some other fuel source. Well at some point that's got to be true. But I don't hear people talking about it very much. Is it because they keep finding new gigantic reserves that we didn't know existed? Is it because they just hope we'll keep pumping more oil and it won't run out? Are there huge reserves nobody talks about? Or are they just hoping we'll run out soon and figure it out then. For instance we weren't using any dinosaur goo 150 years ago, now you'd think humanity couldn't exist without it. We supposedly evolved from single cell organisms to what we are today without one single drop of dinosaur oil. Now humanities existence depends on it. We seem to have a very strange way of looking at things. People love to run around trying to run up everyone's blood pressure over nonsense. I'll tell you what's really dangerous humans themselves; for instance Hitler, Putin, Attila the Hun, to name a few. Plus millions of murderers, rapists, and other psychos.

Running out of oil is the least of our worries.

polar bears are a freak of history

if global warming wipes out polar bears it's not a big deal. The planet historically has been much hotter than it is today. It's only in the last 50 million years that the planet's been cool enough to have polar ice caps. Now there have been a couple of times when the entire planet has been covered in ice but it is then followed by periods when it is so hot that there is lush forests growing all over the entire planet with no ice. So the polar bear has only been around for 50 million years maximum. Dinosaurs lasted for several hundred million years, nobody's crying about them. And by the way, polar bears are incredibly violent dangerous carnivores. They kill and eat stuff with such ferocity that you don't want to be anywhere near one. And they hunt humans. Most bears don't specifically hunt down humans, but polar bears will. Historically the Earth has been much hotter than it is now, so let's not get all upset about a little global warming. Get back in your car and step on it.

polar bears last letter home

Dear Mom,

This will probably be my last letter. I snuck up on some delicious looking walrus. There was a female that wasn't quite full grown that looked delicious. The attack was going pretty well, I was able to attack her face and she wasn't able to fight back very much. Then I made a fatal error, I turned my back to a large full grown male that was nearby. He reached over and quickly gored me in my rear hip. It appears to have been a mortal blow. My leg is no longer useful. I can't swim or walk very far. The walrus pod is laying 50 ft away enjoying a nice sunny afternoon while I lie here immobile, unable to hunt, unable to move very far. I think I can make it over to the mailbox to drop this off.

I look back fondly on all those delicious seals that you taught me to catch and eat. Thanks so much for teaching me to swim across the open ocean. That Caribou you caught out in the open water was so delicious, I can still taste it. This walrus looked like it would be a delicious change of pace, but it was probably a fatal mistake.

Your loving son,

Killer the fluffy white polar bear

the world is doomed

  • Stop going to movies
  • Stop listening to the government
  • Stop watching TV
  • Stop listening to news

All of these things are presenting things from the world's perspective. The world isn't going to tell you about Jesus, it's going to slowly drag you over to Satan's side. Jesus wants to save you from eternal damnation, but the world wants to tell you that you deserve better. In reality what you deserve is the lake of fire, but Jesus gives us a chance at eternal life through salvation by his sacrifice on the cross. We don't need more money from the government, we don't need another movie telling us about human heroics, we don't need the news telling us that the government's not doing enough or that communism is just fine or that you need a vaccine.

The world is secular which is just another word for satanic.

Micah 6:8

8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Egypt vs God

And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.

And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.

And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.

And they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

And the LORD did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants' houses, and into all the land of Egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies.

And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.

And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.

And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.

And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.

And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:

And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharoah that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. [28] And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.

America adrift

Unfortunately when any country is adrift, what it really means is they're going down the toilet. We're not just circling the drain, we're down in the sewer somewhere already.

It's been a short run, but by God we gave it the old college try.

Job 12
[23] He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again. [24] He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way. [25] They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunken man.

elite army of killer priests

Exodus 19
5] Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: [6] And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

 Numbers 1
[2] Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls; [3] From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.

I've got a bad feeling about this.

tribulation

A part of this life is tribulation. They don't have to be massive tribulations like the early Christians underwent. You don't have to be fed to lions or crucified like Jesus on a cross. But, things will go wrong in sort of a steady random stream. It isn't clear why. One idea is that our response is what matters. Like when you're trying out to be a starship captain on Star Trek one of the final tests is a no-win situation where your ship is going to be destroyed and everyone's going to die a horrible death in the vast emptiness of black space. There will be no final log only the silence of hundreds of crew members dying in the vacuum. The point of the test is to see how well you fail. It's almost like they picked the idea right out of the Bible. If you look at early Christians and Jesus message, failing was a large part of the right answer. The first 15 verses of Matthew chapter 5 makes that clear. You're supposed to be happy when people hate you for Jesus' sake. Your rewards will be big in heaven. As Time wore on though people started wearing thin on tribulation. They wanted rewards now and no tribulation ever. Unfortunately that isn't going to work. We're taking the same test today they were taking 2,000 years ago.

40 days and 40 nights

Moses prayed for the children of Israel for 40 days and 40 nights without food or water. It would be interesting to know what that really looked like. I mean he probably slept 5 to 8 hours a day. Then he spent the rest of the time talking to God, praying that God wouldn't destroy them. I would run out of stuff to say after the first 5 minutes. God please don't destroy them. You know how ridiculous we all are. They were just so excited about getting out of bondage and all the cruelty that they faced from the Egyptians. It's just all sort of going to their head. And then what do you say for the next 39.9 days?

 Deuteronomy 9:18

And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

Also, why didn't God come up with a training plan? Desert University, hosted by God. It's going to cover exciting subjects like how to approach an infinite being that created you. How to ask for simple things like water and food and show appreciation. God has big plans for these guys. They're going to be His super elite army of killer priests. No, I'm not kidding.
